GSH Group celebrates National Engineer’s Week as we recognize and celebrate engineers and tradesmen around the world for their contributions to society and our daily lives. From transportation hubs to the roadways we travel on, and the buildings we live and work in, engineering is all around us, all the time. So many of us traverse our daily lives without considering just how important of a role engineers play in pushing the planet forward. GSH’s Joe Annino, attended the Bid BOMA: BOMA Marathon luncheon at the Rosewood Commons Conference Center, hosted by BOMA Oakland/East Bay. It was a gathering of colleagues, property managers and vendors who engaged in an interactive roundtable discussion sharing thoughts and perspectives on the bidding process and learning the value of how BOMA relationships can enhance the overall experience.

Preventive maintenance doesn’t always stop at the piece of equipment in question, but should also include the surrounding area, associated piping, valves and other components. GSH Group’s Chief Engineer, David Kolda, and Journeyman Engineer, Chuck Miller, provided the perfect example of this in their ‘Before & After’ photos of a fire pump room they oversee in California.

Supporting industrial manufacturing environments is one of GSH’s area of specialization. Take for instance a wind turbine manufacturer who GSH began supporting in India over five years ago. To support their massive manufacturing plant, GSH provides several hundred personnel who provide total Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) services and production support. Over time, this contract has grown exponentially in scope due to GSH’s unrelenting commitment to service excellence. 

That same client relationship has since grown to include the client-company’s operations in France where GSH also provides IFM services to over twenty sites spread across the country. Our rapid growth with the client in France has been driven by the GSH-EURO team’s commitment to providing customizable service solutions, execution of contract requirements, and unyielding support.

GSH Group took part in our annual Toy Drive effort as we partnered with The Children’s Home Society of NJ to provide special gifts to those in need! Having partaken in this toy drive for many years, GSH employees participated by shopping online and buying gifts to be donated to a great cause.

Did you know… 24 years ago, our Chief Operating Officer, Steve Wallis, began his journey with George S. Hall, Inc. From his first day as an apprentice in Manchester, England to his current role of COO at our North American Headquarters in New Jersey, Steve’s journey has been nothing short of spectacular.
