Who We Are
GSH Is…
At GSH Group, our motto is Always On™ because we pride ourselves in being there for our clients and their facilities each and every minute of the day. As your facilities management and mechanical maintenance provider, our unique combination of corporate values, management dedication, and subject matter expertise will insure the delivery of premier services. GSH is ‘Always’ ready to bring to bear the people, knowledge, and resources committed to meeting your expectations – be that cost savings, process improvement, excellence in service delivery; or a combination of the three.
Our History
GSH has evolved over the last 129 years to serve the private and public sectors and has a worldwide reputation as a leading facilities management company with strong organic growth. As a privately-owned company, our first and foremost goal is to satisfy our clients’ needs completely. We firmly believe in providing our clients with custom-tailored and dedicated services instead of a “one-size-fits-all” approach.
GSH’s Green Initiatives
GSH’s Energy Engineering Division excels in putting forth groundbreaking projects in energy management and waste-to-fuel initiatives. Believing strongly in the conservation of energy and the development of supplemental and alternative fuel sources, each year GSH hosts its own, annual Energy Engineering Forum. This event brings together GSH subject matter experts, client-stakeholders, scientists, researchers, and leading academics to discuss and network on critical environmental, energy and sustainability initiatives. Aggressively, seeking to do our part GSH has committed to being Carbon Neutral by 2023 and Carbon Negative by 2025. Learn More.
Circle of Service
The GSH Circle of Service™ stands as our promise to provide each and every one of our clients with the most efficient FM products, services, and resources and to be Always On™ with knowledgeable answers, timely help, and responsive support.
Amhuinnsuidhe Castle
A key asset of GSH Group that embodies our history, heritage and commitment to the environment is Amhuinnsuidhe Castle. Located on the Isle of Harris, Scotland, the 19th-century bucolic country estate was built in 1865 by architect David Bryce. For the construction of the castle, Bryce designed it in the Scottish Baronial-style for the 7th Earl of Dunmore, Charles Murray. The castle was originally named ‘Fincastle’ and has since welcomed countless guests over the years to enjoy its remote setting, as well as its world class fishing and hunting.
In recent times, the Castle serves the dual purpose as an environmental center of excellence for GSH Group to trial and implement environmental and sustainability best practices. Utilizing the Castle as a center of excellence elevates the operational value of the facility while providing GSH Group with invaluable research and data to leverage in our process improvement to our clients’ facilities. As a company that believes firmly in corporate social responsibility, reducing the carbon footprint, and leaving the planet better than we found it, Amhuinnsuidhe Castle is a daily embodiment of our collective efforts and spirit in conservationism.
