GSH Group, a global integrated facilities management company headquartered in Parsippany, NJ, continues to expand its HVAC services in the educational sector.

GSH recently won a contract with New Jersey City University (NJCU) located in Jersey City, New Jersey to provide preventative maintenance routine and emergency service to NJCU’s campus. GSH services this contract with its skilled roving journeymen workforce supported by GSH’s call center. GSH’s call center is operational 24/7/365 and is furnished with a computerized maintenance management system for work planning and labor tracking. Journeymen are equipped with handheld devices for electronic dispatch and receipt of work orders, cutting down on administrative paperwork while permitting more time in the field. GSH’s roving journeymen are responsible for 4 levels of services for all NJCU’s buildings on the campus, which includes chiller maintenance, preventative maintenance, premium contract, and boiler maintenance.

The University opened its doors as the New Jersey Normal School of Jersey City on September 12, 1929, with 331 students and one building on campus, Hepburn Hall. Eighty years later, more than 8,000 degree-seeking students enjoy the fifty-two-acre campus, which now features fourteen buildings. The mission of New Jersey City University is to provide a diverse population with an excellent university education. The University is committed to the improvement of the educational, intellectual, cultural, socioeconomic, and physical environment of the surrounding urban region and beyond.

GSH’s Regional Operations Manager, Dean Clark, mentions, “this is a great partnership GSH has begun with NJCU, and our team is pleased to provide our services to a growing local University.”
