GSH Group, a global integrated facilities management company headquartered in Parsippany, NJ, renews its contract in India with JK Tyre.
GSH India began our relationship with JK Tyre in 2013 and this year, JK Tyre extended the contract for another three years. This contract encompasses a variety of services which have developed throughout the years. GSH India manages the complete facility, including potable and service water, treated water (DM & RO), electrical switch yards, power distribution, back-up power supply with diesel generators, compressed air supply, steam supply, chilled water supply, fuel handling, etc. In addition to the regular operation and maintenance of utility equipment, GSH India is responsible for both the critical and non-critical equipment. Through the duration of the contract the number of GSH employees permanently based on-site has grown substantially.
Included in the scope of work, GSH India’s team are responsible for statutory compliance services, such as boiler safety valves calibration and servicing, earth pits inspection and certification, relays testing, pressure vessel testing, and certifications.
GSH India’s internal consultancy team does an extensive energy audit for utility equipment once a year, delivering to JK Tyre projections on potential energy savings with return on investment calculations. GSH India has developed a culture of routine inspections and corrections to the steam, water, and compressed air systems to save energy and reduce production costs.
GSH India has done an in-depth study on boilers and has proposed a boiler system that will utilize locally produced biofuels to bring down the steam generation costs and improve service.
