September 15th started National Hispanic Heritage Month! GSH Group is proud to recognize diversity, and the contributions from those of Latin and Spanish heritage to American society and culture. We wish everyone a most joyous month and thank them for proudly representing their heritage in all that they do!

GSH Celebrates 2022 Hispanic Heritage Month Vanessa

GSH is pleased to highlight the accomplishments of engineers making an impact. One such contributor is Vanessa Galvez, a Civil Engineer who graduated from New York University in 2012. At 26-years old, she began working for the NYCDOC as an engineer just as Hurricane Sandy hit New York City and has since supervised the installation of 164-bioswales in Queens, NY. Bioswales are used to combat flooding from stormwater and tidal surge. With a focus on sustainability and diversity, her work has been vital to safeguarding the Queens, NY community.

GSH Celebrates 2022 Hispanic Heritage Month Roberto Clemente

As we continue to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, MLB baseball playoffs are in full swing. We shine the spot light on Roberto Clemente, the first Latin American player to reach the milestone of 3,000 hits and first Latino player to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Though his death came too soon in a tragic plane crash while selflessly bringing supplies to earthquake survivors in Nicaragua, we will always remember the man he was on and off the field.

GSH Celebrates 2022 Hispanic Heritage Month Jorge

As we close out Hispanic Heritage Month, GSH Group would like to highlight Engineer Technician, Jorge Santana! Jorge has been with GSH for four years now working in New York City to support our facilities management and maintenance operations.

“What I like most about GSH are the personal development opportunities and training programs that ensure we deliver the highest quality work to our customers.” – Jorge

Thank you, Jorge, for your dedication to GSH and embodying what it means to be of proud Hispanic culture in our company!
