Responsibility

We believe that as a successful business, we should be aware of our responsibility to society and help to improve the quality of life of our employees and in our communities.

We believe the most effective way to do this is to focus on those areas where we have expertise and can make a real impact. So for us, that means looking at how we can improve the environment, whether that be at a local school, a community space or through environmental lobbying and looking at how we can improve energy management, through skill-sharing or making homes more energy efficient for disadvantaged sectors of society. We also recognize the importance of education and have created an apprentice and work placement programs which allow us the opportunity to support and develop people and have a positive impact on their career aspirations.

Naturally, our commitment does not end there. We have a full program of activities which underpin our corporate responsibility: good corporate behaviors in the workplace through robust HR processes, supporting employee volunteering, monitoring the supply chain for ethical standards and charitable donation.
