GSH Group´s EnergyPlus Program Leads to Two BOMA Awards for Mountain Development Corp.

GSH Group Inc., a global facilities and energy management provider throughout the United States and Europe, announces that its energyplus client, Mountain Development Corp., has earned BOMA New Jersey´s First Annual Energy Reduction Awards for two of its properties:

• Alexander Hamilton Plaza, 100 Hamilton Plaza, Paterson, New Jersey
• One Garret Mountain Plaza, Woodland Park, New Jersey

GSH provides its energyplus, energy management program, in both of these commercial properties, each one totaling approximately 175,000 square feet. Energyplus has resulted in reduced energy consumption by 24% in Alexander Hamilton Plaza and an impressive 35% in One Garret Mountain Plaza, which has also received the prestigious Energy Star label. At each building GSH implemented different energy reduction plans to achieve savings, which include the installation of building management systems, variable frequency drives and motion sensors. GSH continually monitors and adjusts the building equipment to ensure optimal efficiency.

BOMA New Jersey´s First Annual Building Energy Reduction Awards was held on May 25, 2011 at the Newark Club in Newark, New Jersey. The BPU Commissioner Joseph Fiordaliso was in attendance at the ceremony to honor the recipients. To be eligible for the award, the applicant had to submit an executed energy reduction plan and prior energy bills and was required to achieve a minimum ten percent energy reduction while maintaining specific occupancy levels.
