Through our operations our wide range of professional and technical services have a significant positive impact on the quality of the working and social environment of thousands of people in the communities in which we operate. Our innovative and industry leading use of technology and its application to service allows us to deliver quantifiable and positive impacts on sustainability and the environment.
On average, energyplus resulted in improved client energy efficiency performance of about 5% savings. This has resulted in financial savings of $2.75 million and environmental savings of 20,000,000 pounds of CO2 emissions, each year.
Our energyplus service delivers guaranteed utility consumption savings to our clients. This delivers costs savings and significant reductions in carbon. To date we have reduced carbon production for our clients by over 90,000 tonnes. Our Smartbox technology is a key factor in our ability to offer our retail sector clients significant and guaranteed consumption savings over their wide geographically dispersed portfolios.
We are a foundation member of Forum for the Future, an organisation that exists to find practical ways private and public organisations can deliver a sustainable future. We work with universities, developing new technologies and environmental services that will further reduce the impact of our and our clients' operations on the environment.
GSH works to the highest environmental standards, being accredited to ISO 14001. This accreditation and the processes it imposes apply to our internal business operations and the services we provide to our clients, reducing our environmental impacts.
Our dedicated supply chain services work to strengthen relationships with our suppliers in order to ensure they adhere to our environmental standards and this requirement is pursued throughout our supply chain.
Facilities Management has a significant and direct impact on our environment. We expect good corporate behaviour from our employees with regards to our clients, the environment and the communities in which we operate.
