GSH drives the campaign in building a sustainable future

On Friday 26th October, over 30 business leaders came together at Tower 42, London, to participate in a networking event hosted by the UK's fastest growing facilities and energy management provider, GSH Group plc.

The one day joint British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) and the Building Owners and Managers Association International (BOMA) event, 'Building a Sustainable Future in FM', combined expert presentations, debates and workshops.

The second networking event was part of GSH's proactive strategy in tackling the issue of climate change and driving best practice within the FM industry.

Guest speakers included experts from Forum for the Future: Ben Ross, Buying Force: Sam Achampong and Dr Roger Wilson from Envirowise, covering topics from energy management and the building directive right-through to waste and supply chain management and water efficiency.

BIFM Deputy Chair and GSH SHEQ Director Robert Greenfield commented: "The event was a huge success in sharing best practice. By participating in such events, we can all make a difference and build a sustainable future together and it was wonderful to see so many different figure heads in attendance."

Kurt Padavano, BOMA Chairman, added: "This was another great networking event with so many new faces and areas covered about the challenges we face. It goes without saying that I feel we have made yet another vital step in making a difference in what is an extremely important issue affecting the industry."
