ICT

Our Information and Communication Technologies support our clients and the GSH dedicated client teams by delivering real-time and appropriate information.

Our systems design is based on bringing together all the necessary information flows and integrating them in order to provide seamless and appropriate data.

Our ICT and Innovations (R&D) functions work closely in defining and developing systems and processes that meet our teams and our clients' requirements.

All ICT developments are developed in-house by our own ICT or R&D staff and these are based around our Maximo fully integrated Contract Management System.

All our staff and customers have real-time access either to Maximo or our client reporting Extranet which delivers external access to Maximo's reporting facilities.

Our engineers in the field have wireless handheld devices through which Maximo allocates jobs and accepts job status changes and closure, all in real-time.

Our Customer Service helpdesk has real-time access to Maximo and our engineers' location and job status through our sophisticated vehicle tracking system, Smarttrack, which is directly linked to Maximo's job control. All our agents are linked to our helpdesk PBX and intelligent skills-based call-routing system

We have also extended our systems based on Maximo to provide:

  • On-line Statutory Certification management
  • Mobile phone SMS access to Maximo for job interrogation
  • Wireless handheld reporting for clients

GSH has also developed its own Smartbox environment and energy management system that is used to monitor energy consumption and environmental conditions. As well as an integral component of our energy management services, the Smartbox technology is also used to assist our engineers and helpdesk staff in identifying asset faults and environmental conditions.

It is through these technologies and systems that GSH is able to provide its clients and staff with:

  • Transparency and trust through online and real-time information
  • Single-point-of-contact for helpdesk support
  • Real-time access to job management and job performance through wireless handheld technology
  • Asset management, reactive and planned maintenance
  • Management information through our client Extranet
  • Statutory certification linked in real-time with clients' assets through Maximo
