In January 2004 GSH launched energyplus, a new approach to contract energy management based on consumption reduction engineering using best practice rather than just tariff negotiation.
Savings result from improvements in energy efficiency, labour, plant investment, improved building efficiency, awareness campaigns and consultancy.
Our Energy Bureau is designed to maximise conservation and improve sustainability. The facility is an in-house centre of excellence devoted to improving clients’ energy performance to reduce their carbon emissions and counter wholesale price increases in gas and electricity.
Since energyplus was launched we have saved nearly £2.3 million in energy costs and prevented around 70,000 tonnes of CO² emissions. |
