History

We are a company with more than 100 years of service excellence.

Founded in 1895 by George Scarr Hall, GSH began as a small engineering business based in Stoke-on-Trent, servicing the then prosperous pottery industry.

The company thrived during the first half of the century, surviving two World Wars and dramatic changes in the economy, thanks to the quality of service offered by GSH and our employees and thanks to the entrepreneurial spirit of the Scarr Hall founders who knew the potential within the business.

Grasping the opportunity for expansion and development, a service and maintenance division was added in 1969 and the Irish operation was opened in 1993. Since then the Group has focused solely and successfully on providing facilities management solutions.
