GSH Scoops major commendation at BCE Awards

GSH Group plc received a Major Commendation in recognition of its commitment to the environment, at the prestigious Business Commitment to the Environment (BCE) Environmental Leadership Awards ceremony held in London on Monday 30th June.

Pat McFadden, Minster of State for Employment Relations and Postal Affairs, awarded GSH with the commendation for its smartbox technology, a remote monitoring system that uses GPRS wireless technology to store real-time readings of environment conditions, plant status and utility consumption.

The device can be monitored, configured and interrogated over the internet and can alarm by SMS or email when readings fall outside predetermined ranges.

With unlimited inputs for any electro mechanical device and outputs for control capabilities, the smartbox is a cost effective monitoring solution in retail, corporate and industrial buildings and has particular relevance in utility consumption reduction programmes.
