GSH Secures prestigious contract with General Motors
Belgium

Leading energy and facilities management provider GSH Group plc has signed a three-year contract with one of the world's largest automakers General Motors Corps.

A dedicated team of GSH engineers will be responsible for the delivery of hard FM services, providing support on a 24/7 basis at General Motors' 1,4 million m2 plant in Antwerp, Belgium, where all four variants of the Opel Astra are manufactured.

Maurice Broes, Facility Manager of General Motors, said: "Continuity is fundamental to our business. We were looking for a provider who could not only take over our FM responsibilities, but vouch for this important objective and adapt to our requirements easily. We have found the partner we were looking for in GSH."

The contract win follows the formation of joint venture FSI, between GSH and German FM company HSG Technischer Service in January 2008. FSI was created with a view to strengthen both companies' capabilities in the pan-European market whilst exceeding customer demands in line with legislative requirements through the steering of mobilisation and quality management.

Frank Bosch, Managing Director GSH Europe, said: "Pooling our expertise has aided us in winning this performance contract. We are absolutely delighted to have secured it and are looking forward to establishing a strong relationship with General Motors."

General Motors Corps. was founded in 1908 and employs over 280,000 people worldwide, serving markets in 200 countries.
