Our Information and Communication Technologies support our clients and the GSH dedicated client teams by delivering up to date, real-time information.

Maximo & Management Information: our centralised Maximo system is a market leading asset management system.  It is the core of our business used for the management of our customers´ contracts.  It is centrally operated and both stores and manages all our customers´ contract data and job management information.  Maximo provides our customers with many benefits including the ability to easily adapt innovations, benchmarking and budget information.

 

Asset management: all customers´ assets and buildings are electronically recorded and maintenance regimes and labour loading planned through our Maximo system.

 

Portal: GSH realise that the provision of management information is an important factor in contract award criteria.  The main information delivery method for our customers, the Portal offers real time retrieval of key job, contract and legislative information including balanced scorecards, asset history and statutory compliance certificates.  Accessible from any internet-enabled PC it is a secure and timely access to a customer´s contract data.  

 

Flexible access: Understanding the various needs of our clients we ensure the availability of this information by providing automatically generated job updates through SMS mobile phone job and contract status reporting and wireless handheld reporting through Windows Mobile technology.

 

Customer support centre: our dedicated customer helpdesks use our Maximo system and intelligent call routing to ensure that calls are handled and managed efficiently.  We use Nortel´s Symposium and CallPilot.

 

Efficiency: Our operatives in the field use handheld wireless devices that are linked in real-time with Maximo and our Customer Support Centre.  Using this wireless technology they receive and book their jobs on-line and the updated information is immediately available in the Portal.  This provides real-time data to our staff, engineers and customers in an instant, ensuring that they always have up-to-date information available to them.

 

Statutory Logbook:  Customers are able to see their compliance status and obtain copies of any certificates by asset, discipline and location.  Using our electronic planning, storage and retrieval system embedded in Maximo, our customers can be assured their legislative requirements concerning plant certificates are being met.

 

Smartbox: GSH has also developed its own Smartbox environment and energy management system that is used to monitor energy consumption and environmental conditions. As well as an integral component of our energy management services, the Smartbox technology is also used to assist our engineers and helpdesk staff in identifying asset faults and environmental conditions.

 

Disaster Recovery: all our systems offer redundancy through our remote dedicated computer and communications backup suite.

 

R & D: Our ICT and Innovations (R&D) functions work closely in defining and developing systems and processes that meet our teams and our clients' requirements.
